Cheque Presentation

It was a special day at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw on Tuesday the 26th of August when we met Anna Roberts of Sarn Mellteyrn on Llŷn and her family. Anna suffers from the incurable CLN3 Batten Disease.

On the 5th of July a special concert was held by Cor y Brythnoniaid on the outdoor theatre of Plas Glyn-y-Weddw. During the interval a special auction and raffle was held to raise money for Anna's Support Fund. Thanks to the generosity of many people, including special donations for the auction from Lord Mervyn and Lady Jeanne Davies of Abersoch, an amazing total of £4,732 was raised on the night!

This week Anna came over to meet us the Plas, with her mother Laura Roberts and her aunt Llinos Roberts. A check was presented to the fund by John Eifion Jones (leader of Côr y Brythnoniaid Choir) and Gwyn Jones (Director of Plas Glyn-y-Weddw). The money presented will contribute to a campaign by the family to buy a special electric chair for Anna.
